International Strike for Palestine 🇵🇸

The people of the UK and internationally cannot bear to witness the appalling suffering in Gaza and the Westbank any longer. Sadly, it’s evident that our governments have failed us.
They ignore our natural opposition to war simply because they can.
War brings about futile suffering and destruction. The poor get poorer, and the corporate barons get obscenely rich on the manufacturing of war machines that go on to kill people we have never met and will never know.
What we do know is that Israel has and is carrying out a genocide on the people of Palestine, aided and abeited by US, UK, and EU countries.
We must recognise that to date, we have not been able to stop this war or the escalation in the region.
What do we do?
The only real power we have as a collective is to join together as members of the public, bringing with us unions, community groups, and campaigners to join in a strike for peace .
We must take evasive action now, as soon there will be no one left to help.
We are beyond an emergency!!
Do Nothing, and Buy Nothing for Peace!!
You do not need to be in a union or even be a worker to go on strike for peace.
We all contribute to society, one way or another.
Choose at least one option that you can do on Friday, 9th October, that is realistic for you.
Strikes include school children, students, pensioners, housewives, househusbands, anyone and everyone on benefits , and home carers.
*Strikes do not include ‘on duty’ emergency and essential workers. We support them in their work.
No LABOUR – Only Emergency and Essential Workers carry on.
No Shopping – BUY NOTHING! –
NO SCHOOL, COLLEGE,
UNIVERSITY OR NURSERY – To prevent death and injury, it is better for them to take a day off !! Empower the young to register their concerns.
Protest / Rally in your local area. Make banners and signs and share on your social media #OnStrike4Palestine #OnStrike4Gaza
Be proud of your actions on the day and look out for the next strike date. We will need to escalate sooner rather than later.
Under international law, it is an offence to wage a war of aggression. It is a criminal offence to assist in a crime against humanity, a crime against peace, and a crime of genocide.
We argue that to go ‘ On Strike For Peace’ to save life can only be a moral duty and a call that we cannot justifiably ignore.
This war must end.
