Peace Picket: How to organise a Peace Strike.

The Goal: A global strike where workers, students, and communities withhold labour and participation at least one day each week to demand:

An end to arms sales to Israel

An immediate ceasefire & lifting of the siege on Gaza, with the aim of eventually establishing the Sovereign State of Palestine .

Restoration of aid, food, and medicine to Gaza.

This is nonviolent mass resistance—ordinary people disrupting business as usual to force peaceful change.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE (INDIVIDUALLY)
STRIKE FROM WORK OR STUDY

If you’re a non-essential worker, refuse to work one day per week (e.g., every Monday).

Students: Skip classes one day per week—organize walkouts.

Spend the day protesting (e.g., at government buildings, arms factories, or Israeli consulates).

DISRUPT ECONOMIC COMPLICITY

Boycott companies funding Israel’s war machine (e.g., arms manufacturers, tech firms aiding surveillance).

Divest from banks/investments tied to Israeli apartheid.

PUBLICIZE YOUR STRIKE

Post on social media with #PeaceStrike—explain why you’re striking.

Encourage others to join.

HOW TO ORGANIZE A COMMUNITY PEACE STRIKE

BUILD A LOCAL GROUP

Start with friends, coworkers, or campus activists.

Hold a meeting (in person or online) to plan.

PICK A STRIKE DAY & DEMANDS

Choose one consistent day per week (e.g., “Strike Every Monday”).

Link demands to local complicity (e.g., if your city hosts arms dealers, target them).

DIRECT ACTION IDEAS

Workplace strikes: Organize coworkers to call in sick or walk out.

Student strikes: Coordinate class walkouts and teach-ins on Gaza.

Pickets & blockades: Peacefully surround arms factories, government offices, or complicit corporations.

SPREAD THE WORD

Flyers, social media, local media.

Use #PeaceStrike to connect globally.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Essential workers (healthcare, etc.): Do NOT strike if it risks lives—but you can still protest off-duty.

Legal risks: Peaceful strikes are protected in many countries, but know your rights.

Important note:
Enjoy the Strike Days!
You are contributing to uniting people for the purpose of spreading peace and hope, so be proud of yourselves!

Solidarity: Link with Palestinian unions, anti-war groups, and labour movements.

This is how we win—by stopping the war machine together.

Peace Strike supports many campaigns that work towards justice and peace.
