We need to build an international movement that is prepared to, when necessary, “GO ON STRIKE FOR PEACE”

Starting on Wednesday 12th September 2012

This is a pre-emptive peace campaign, designed to prevent a war against Iran. We refuse to collaborate with governments that ignore the wishes of the majority of peace loving people.

Peace can only be achieved through peace. We must be strong and determined in our efforts in order to be effective. We need to move the masses into proactive action. Opposition to war is simply not enough!
Please spread the word and spread the movement.
NOW is the time! Take to the streets and make your objection count.

Only the people organizing and speaking out NOW can  prevent war with Iran.

'VIGIL FOR IRAN' 12th September 2012

We must plan ahead in case of an emergency. Now is the time for people to unite in peace for the greater good of all people. We have no time to loose. The window of opportunity is still open. We must organize now so that we can and will be effective in our campaign. The ‘Vigil for Iran’ will be held outside the British Parliament  and will represent ordinary grass roots campaigners, concerned citizens, the washed and the unwashed….in other words everyone who has care and compassion and will allow themselves to stand up and be counted. It will be a peaceful vigil with the aim of promoting peace through peaceful action.

The aim of the vigil is to grow in size each week and to spread to other strategic areas.

LEGALITY

It is not illegal to peacefully demonstrate in Parliament Square , Westminster,  or Whitehall. Indeed it is encouraged.  With the demise of the Serious Organized Crime and Police ACT 2005, (concerning demonstration in the SOCPA  area), the restrictions that have replaced SOCPA 2005 apply to the use of camping or sleeping equipment. There is a case going through the court challenging this issue.  The Public Order Act 1986 would now come into effect.

All are very welcome to join the vigil. The starting date will be announced soon…..

Listen to the people!

The crippling sanctions imposed on Iran are causing great hardship to the poor  of the country. The sanctions are designed to create dissatisfaction and heighten stress levels  in order to destabalise and weaken  the country from within, ready for an attack at a time, yet to be defined.

Syria is being taken out right now so that the country is controlled and the ground made secure for military forces to operate from within Syria against Iran.

Protesters and anti-war groups must now prepare to counteract a major political and media campaign based on propaganda, mis-information, bias and lies that will be made against Iran and the Iranian people.

We must be ready to counteract the false claims and accusations that will be made by people in a position of authority and power.

We must not repeat the mistakes made in the past by simply protesting, going on marches and rallies. We know that we have to do more than that! Put simply, the governments of the world get away with doing what they do because there is nothing to STOP  them!

Speak out NOW!!

Prepare to do all that matters in order to prevent another war! The outcome of launching a war of aggression against such a powerful country as Iran would have catastrophic consequences for the whole world. Peace can only be made through peace. We must therefore be strong and determined in our stand for peace, and above all the peace movement must stand UNITED in our aim to be effective and powerful in our own right, on our own terms.
